Mu-young is an Olympic medalist for judo. Before the announcement of the national squad, he learns of corruption and informs detective Kwon So-ra. He’s become the whistleblower, but the Prosecutor’s Office covers it up and Mu-young is removed from the athlete’s association. He learns too late that the chief prosecutor is cousins with the national squad head coach and is furious. Afterwards, the friend he loves and respects, Han Cheol-ho, is killed before his very eyes by a tattooed man. Though another person came forward and admitted to the murder, he wouldn't buy it. He becomes a journalist for Patriot News and investigates. Han Cheol-ho was the loyal right hand of the Daehan Daily director, Ku Tae-won. And he committed all kinds of heinous crimes for the powerful group known as the “Company.” One day, he decides to betray them and reveal the truth, and that’s when he is killed by Ku Tae-won and the “Company.” Lee Seok-min, the senior that cherished Han Cheol-ho, learns of the corruption after Han’s death, and is very disappointed. He distances himself from Mu-young, who is actually trying to get to the bottom of Han’s death. In order to uncover the truth, Seok-min reestablishes the in-depth news coverage team and splash team, and they get closer to the core of the evil of the “Company” and Ku Tae-won.
